Our Story

Handcrafted between the ocean and the forest on Australia’s Great Ocean Road, C.W. James is the creation of industrial designer, Karen James. Each piece is inspired by Karen’s blissful memories of sundrenched holidays visiting family in Borneo, Jamaica and Australia.

 

We use the unique properties of semi-precious gemstones, gold, and pearls to create jewellery that invokes joy, relaxation and vacation vibes.

 

 

 

We love making your C.W. James pieces in our Anglesea studio. We find handcrafting each piece from semi-precious gemstones is a meditative experience. We hope you enjoy wearing your C.W. James pieces knowing that they were made in a calm, peaceful studio surrounded by nature.

 

    

 

 C.W. James is named after Karen’s grandfather, a shoemaker from rural Jamaica, acknowledging her family’s humble history of making.
